Ark

Ark is the embodiment of our collective experience in building banking and digital platforms with local clients.

Ark is the banking technology foundation Australian mutuals build on. It works with the core you already run, so your team can ship onboarding, lending and everyday banking journeys without a full core replacement.

What is Ark

Ark provides the foundations to adapt your technology to match your business needs.

  1. We build a solid foundation for your banking technologies

Security, data, integration, the audit trail a regulator asks for. The parts that take longest, carry the most risk, and never appear in a product brochure are done before you start.

  2. Connected to the local banking ecosystem

Ark connects your core and product systems, giving you the choice on how you want to construct your business.

  3. Prebuilt integrations and journeys

Onboarding, lending, accounts, cards and payments arrive as working journeys, ready for your policy and your process.

  4. The end solution reflects your values, products and brand

Mobile and internet banking, CRM and design are the moments a member notices. With the foundations in place, Ark enables your team to focus on enhancing your Customer Experience.

Ark CX

Ark CX layers on top of Ark, so every place a customer meets you looks and works the same way.

Ark CX is the part your customers experience, from your app and website to onboarding, lending and content. Bring it together and they get one consistent experience, however many systems sit behind it.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Do we have to replace our core banking system?

No. Ark is built to extend the core you already run. Most of our clients keep theirs, and Ark carries the journeys and the channels around it.

How long before something is actually live?

We scope a first journey that goes live in months rather than years, and we agree what "live" means before we start. The point of starting small is that you get to judge the foundation on something real.

Can our team run it after you leave?

That is the intention. Your people build alongside ours from the start, and the handover is part of the work rather than a phase at the end.

Does Ark work with the vendors we already use?

Usually, yes. Ark connects to vendor systems through connectors that translate between their way of working and a common shape, so adding or changing a provider stays a contained piece of work.

We are going through a merger. Is this the wrong time?

It is often the right time. A merger is the moment two of everything becomes one bank's problem, and a shared foundation is how you give both sets of members the same experience without waiting for every system to be reconciled first.

Is Ark only for mutuals?

It was shaped by mutual banks and that is where most of our work is, but the foundation suits any lender who wants to move faster than a full replacement allows.
